We encourage former students to let us know what you are doing now.  The varied jobs and careers that you perform to provide a little insight into the possibilities that exist out there for our present students.

Brennan, Geraldine

I work at Canada Revenue Agency in Edmonton, Alberta. My partner David and I have two children, my daughter Bridget in grade 8 and my step-daughter Sarah who is a third Year University of Alberta student.   We are very happy with a Yellow Lab dog, Valentine and three cats, Trouble, Ginger and Snoopy.     I always miss family and friends.~ There is no place like home.~ But unfortunately once you leave it's hard to go back.~ I love to go home for a visit to catch up on all the news and talk about old days with family and friends. I also miss Chess's Fish and Chips and Jerome's Wings and Chips.~

Brophy, Warren

I am currently living in Mount Pearl with my girlfriend Kourtney Griffin. I have 2 children, Zachery (11) and Calista (8), who both attend school in St. John’s. I completed a three year Architectural Engineering Tech program @ College of the North Atlantic in 1997. I spent two years working with an agricultural company in Alberta before moving back home and starting work with John Hearn Architect Inc. Eight years later I’m still working with the same company doing working drawings, architectural renderings, various IT related tasks and developing the company ~website (www.jharchitect.ca). When I’m not @ gymnastics, swimming or track meets with the kids I squeeze in some time for working out and working with a local pro wrestling organization. I still try to get back up the shore whenever I can. I may not live there anymore but it’s still home.

Coady-Maddicks, Sher

I Completed business management and have been working in the Art industry for the past 8 years. I am the Licensing Manager for Encore Art Group, operating out of Vancouver BC. My job is to work with leading manufacturers worldwide by licensing our copyright protected artwork to them for use on their product lines. I work closely with the artist and the manufacturer in contract negotiations, the product development stage and also monitoring quality control of the products as they are normally manufactured overseas. For instance, tabletop items, wallpaper, wall decor and even stationery items need images to appeal to the end consumers. I am also heavily involved in the field of artist recruitment, so all of you would-be artists......  I miss my mom and dad and the rest of my family the most - all of the people, really~as people are different everywhere but none as great as those in NL! I miss the laid back approach to life, I miss the open fields, I miss the ocean....I miss everything except the weather!  I am married to a great guy from NL and have a 21 year old son. I also have a yorkie - Rocco, a Chihuahua, Charlie & 2 cats, Mr. Pretty & Oscar.

I became interested in this field as a result of my involvement in the drama club during my four years at Baltimore.  Recently I had a career change and am now working in fashion at The Jean Shop Ltd, for their Eclipse line. Fashion and fashion design has always been my passion so I am thrilled to working there.   I am married to Colin Croft (alumni of class of 1994), and residing in Southlands, St. John's. I have no children as of yet. I am proud to have been a student at Baltimore and a graduate of class of 1992

Kavanagh (nee Walsh), Cheryl

I am from Fermeuse but I have been living in Edmonton for 12 years. I have 3 wonderful girls. Peggy is married to Daniel Sullivan and is living in Calgary. Kristen just moved to Calgary for work and Jessica and her daughter, Emma-Lee, who is 4 years old, are living in Edmonton. Being a grandmother is wonderful.   Since High School I have worked at numerous jobs but the best was at Dr. Morry’s in Ferryland after which I then moved to Edmonton and went back to school for an accounting degree.   I am currently a Health & Safety Advisor with Wellco Energy Services where I have worked for the last 10 years. I am also taking night classes at the U of A University to get my certification as a Safety Specialist.   The biggest thing I miss about home, of course, is my family. I miss seeing all the kids grow up and have kids of their own. I also miss walking on the beach and staring at the harbour in Fermeuse.

Lawlor Danielle

I am living in St. John’s, NL. Graduated in May 2007 with a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) with Accounting. I also just recently passed the Real Estate exam. I am working full time with Coldwell Banker ProCo. No family just yet!

Pomeroy, Lance (Woody)

My name is Lance (Woody) Michael Pomeroy. I am currently living in Whitecourt, Alberta.  I attended the College of North Atlantic from 2003-2006 and completed the Petroleum Engineering Technology Program. Since High School, I have worked on numerous jobs including, a student project with the Ferryland Historical Society (summer of 2002);  worked with Aquafisheries in the spring and summer of 2003; worked summer of 2004 at Paul’s Enterprise Ltd and Castle Building Center and spent the summer of 2005 in Calgary while working on a drill rig for Akita Drilling.   I am currently employed with Baker Oil Tools, (division of Baker Hughes Inc.), as lead Warehouse/Shop Foreman. My daily activities consist of disassembling and reassembling used downhole tools, preparing BHA’s (bottom hole assemblies) and preparing jobs for Toolhands to run on service and drill rigs. The tools consist of permanent and retrievable packers and bridge plugs along with others that are used for various purposes downhole. I also have to perform warehouse maintenance and ensure all safety and quality procedures are in place at all times.   What I miss most about home is family and friends but I would have to say that everything about my hometown is missed. Mainly the closeness to everything I like doing and the people I wanted to do it with. From trouting in Three Corner and Merry Meeting Ponds to all the end of summer softball tournaments on the Farm. Dart leagues are a lot harder to come by here as well. All the scenery and sounds of the coastlines surely will not be forgotten. I am in a town of about 9000 people that consists of about 3000 Newfies, so there is a lot of flags and islands in rear windshields to keep me company. All that aside I enjoy my job and like everyone that I work with so life isn’t all that bad, and I got to take 3 trips home this year!!!
