Students from Quebec visit the Codroy Valley
 
 
AA School of the Year 06/07
Belanger Memorial School is situated in the scenic Codroy Valley on the West Coast of Newfoundland.  The learning community is home to students from kindergarten to level III.
 
BMS, home of the Blazers and the Belanger Players Drama Troupe.  Our school has a rich history in both the arts and sports and remains active in numerous cocurricular activities including: Athletics, Badminton, Ball Hockey, Basketball, Choir, Drama, Soccer, Softball, and Volleyball.
Students in grade 6 from the Pontiac in Western Quebec and grade 6, 7 and 8 at Belanger Memorial participated in a SEVEC cultural exchange during May/June of this year.
 
Some of the highlights of the exchange include visiting Parliament Hill, ‘les chutes’, and the Museum of Civilization in Quebec/Ontario. While in Newfoundland visits were arranged to the Wildlife Museum, several local lighthouses and to a fishplant.  Our Quebec friends were also inducted as Honorary Newfoundlanders.
