How does it work?

"Salmon Pals" allows the class of elementary students to hatch numerous salmon eggs in the classroom in a fish tank. The hatched salmon fry are then released in the river in June.

Salmon Pals has a direct curriculum focus. It connects to objectives in the area of social studies, science, language arts and math.

By becoming involved in this project, students gather information about the salmon life cycle, habitat and rate of survival. They will interact via the internet and produce online reports, project comparisons.
