Baffin Island

Baffin Island is located north of the Canadian mainland. It
is part of Canada's Northwest Territories. Baffin Islanders speak Inuit and French. The biggest tourist attraction is the National Park . The bay and islands are named after William Baffin who explored the area in 1616.  Another interesting fact about Baffin Island is that it is the world's fifth largest island and Canada's largest. It is north of the Labrador Sea and west of Greenland. Baffin Island is known for its spectacular and dramatic landscapes, rugged coastlines, glaciers, and the midnight sun. It is also known for its artists, exquisite sculptures, and jewelry.
