Parent Involvement

Volunteers

The school appreciates and needs the involvement of parents. We also find that our students enjoy having their parents present and involved with their school. Throughout the year the school will request parent volunteers for a variety of purposes. If  you are able to give some of your time please let your child’s teacher know. All volunteers must register at the general office and will be given a volunteer badge to wear while working in the school.

School Council

C.C. Loughlin has a school council with elected parent members. The council provides advise to the school on many different topics and approves all fund raising activities. The council also approves school improvement initiatives and reviews school assessments. Elections are held each fall during our vegetable fund-raiser. Please consider putting your talents to work;  join our school council. All school council  meetings are opened to the public.

Home and School Association

C.C. Loughlin School has an active Home and School Association. Meetings are held a number of times each year and all parents are invited to participate. The Home and School Association helps the school with  major fund-raisers each year including the Christmas Craft Fair and the Family  Fun Fair.

Canadian Parents for French (CPF)

CPF is the national network of volunteers which values French as an integral part of Canada and which is dedicated to the promotion and creation of French Second Language learning opportunities for young Canadians. ALL parents are encouraged and invited to join CPF. We are only as strong as your participation. For full details on how you can join CPF, please ask your child’s teacher.
