List of Activities:
The school offers a variety of activities to our students including:
1.School Naturalization The school works hard to provide students with a safe, attractive and resourceful place to play. Over the past years the school has built a buddy trail that winds around the school ground, an outdoor theatre and a green house. We encourage all students to play outside and enjoy the school grounds both during the school day and at other times.
2. Primary and Elementary Choirs: All choirs practice at the school during lunchtime.
3. Intramural Sports‑ Students in grades 4 to 6 can participate in soccer, dodge ball, basketball and team handball at lunch time under teacher supervision.
4. After School Sports – These supervised activities include the Elementary Bike Series, Cross Country Running, Basketball, Cross‑Country Skiing and Soccer
5. Skipping Club – A club for grades two and up during lunchtime
6. Green Thumbs‑ An environmental club for elementary students.
Other Student Activities:
School Concerts:
Christmas Concerts are held each year for primary students. Usually one concert is held for grades Kindergarten and One and another concert for grades two and three. Elementary Students are involved in a school musical that is held each Spring. Parents will be provided with written information regarding the date, cost and location of concerts along with how to obtain tickets.
Memory Book and School Pictures
With the assistance of teachers, grade six students prepare an inexpensive memory book which students are able to purchase each spring. Parents will be provided with written information regarding the cost of the memory book and how to purchase one for their child.
Rotary Music Festival
Our school is a proud participant in the annual Rotary Music Festival. If your child is scheduled to participate in the festival written notification of the date and place will be provided in advance.
Celebration of School Leaving
Each year a special in‑school celebration of school leaving is held. We encourage parents to attend this special event for their child. Notification of the date and time of the Celebration will be provided.
