Grade 4's

Operation Christmas Child Project

As part of the Grade 4 Religious Education Program, Grade 4 students at CMS participated in the Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child Project. The students ran a fundraising campaign first by creating posters to advertise the project as well as making public announcements in the school to encourage the student body to donate a loonie or toonie for this project. When all the money was collected, items to fill the boxes were bought. The students were very excited and proud to be filling these special boxes. Not only did each box get filled with the bought items but each student made a Christmas card to include as well.

As we packed the boxes and discussed what it would be like to receive one, our pictures were taken. Please take a look at us at work. Don’t we look proud! We sure do hope that the boys and girls who receive these boxes enjoy them as much as we enjoyed filling them.

We would like to thank everyone who donated this year to Operation Christmas Child.
