In Newfoundland and Labrador, we can recycle all drink containers and return them to the Green Depots for refund. Cans, bottles, and juice boxes will get 5 cents per item. Liquor bottles such as wine, rum and whiskey bottles will get 10 cents per item. Beer bottles are not taken by the Green Depot, but are taken by stores that sell beer. Stores pay 10 cents per bottle returned. By saving all these drink containers and returning them to the Green Depot or stores, we not only are protecting the environment from pollution, but we can also get some extra money!!!!!
Other items that we can recycle are not taken by the Green Depot. Nevertheless, we can recycle or reuse things like newspapers, wood, and clothing.
