Although Patrick's Cove consists of 77 people, it is not
unusual to hear the stories of long ago when the everybody
would get together and have a old fashion house party. I can
just imagine Mr.Patrick McGrath, now deceased, playing the
accordian and singing until dawn, while people like
Mr. Patrick McGrath entertained everybody by doing
the traditional Newfoundland step dance. While Mr. Patrick
(Mr.Patsy) Judge played the tin whislte in the backround.
Now as years has passed, we now longer have the
traditional tin whistle,
nor the accordian or the step dance,
but I assure you that
the people from Patrick's Cove always
has a good time.
We still have the house parties, but now
we have the acoustic
guitar normally played by Tracey
McGrath and the spoons
played by Derek McGrath.
There are also Newfoundland
songs sang through out the
night , with a dance
or two to follow.
As you can see the entertainment still lives in the small
community of Patrick's Cove.
