Entertainment of Ship Cove                             The culture and entertainment in Ship Cove stems from the
                            Irish background of its residents.  Mrs. Caroline Brennan, a
                            resident of Ship Cove who has since passed away,
                            emphasized the importance of maintaining this culture.  She
                            was featured on the CBC program "Land and Sea" where she
                            recited songs and stories that were commonly heard in days
                            gone by.  Overall, Mrs. Brennan was determined to keep the
                            Irish tradition of telling stories and singing alive.
