Thoughts...... 2000
Once again, I find myself in the hustle and bustle of getting the Cape
Shore ready
for the world! This year, the students and I have decided to update
our website
and add any information that was omitted last year and fix up the overall
site. It
has been a challenge and pleasure to see this site come to fruition.
It is a labour
of love for all those involved as they see their corner of the world made
available
for the drivers on the Information
Highway.
Again this year, this undertaking was made much more pleasant and easy
by the
work of many hands. This year we had the Grade three class, who previously
worked on the project last year as Grade twos, and the Grade eleven
leadership students do most
of the work. These students have continued the research begun last
year and
ensured that all was completed as well as possible. Besides students,
there were
several adults who assisted in the process. Hats off once again go
to Ms. Diane
Williams, our technology resource teacher for endless support both in and
out of
the computer lab, to Ms. Pat Dohey, for getting the Grade eleven students
involved and for giving
them class time to work on their jobs, to our lab
assistants and volunteers,
Paula, Janice, and Sheila, for always being there to
lend a hand whenever
needed. Thanks to anyone who made our job easier!
This project began with the perseverence and expertise of the Grade eleven
students of last year,
this year's graduating class. Without the strong foundation
built by them, the work
of this year's group would be hundredfold. Thank you
guys for putting your
area on the map! You are a credit to your school, families,
and the Cape Shore!
Good luck as you enter the world outside your beloved
Cape Shore!
By updating our site, it is my hope that it will be a better resource for
all our
visitors, and especially those former residents of the Cape Shore who visit
the site
and get a little home sick by doing so. When that happens, we know
we have
done a good job!
