New Perlican is a picturesque community, situatedbetween two large hills-Mount Misrey to the east andNorman's Hill to the west-each of which is approximatelythree hundred feet high.
In the valley between the hills lies our small but deep harbour, known to many fisherman as "safe haven".It has a reputation for being one of the safestharbours in the area.
The cove was the home of a fairly large, sandy beachwhich the fisherman used to pull up their boats. Thisbeach is still used today in spite of the moritoriumby recreational boaters. This cove is also the site where the caplin roll yearly.
