Geography
Carters Cove is located on
New world Island along the northeastern part of Newfoundland at 54
West longitude and 45 North latitude. The terrain is rough with many trees
dominating the area. Despite being moist and marshy, Carters Cove does
not offer good fertile soil. Situated near an ocean and ponds, Carters
Cove appears to be environmentally friendly with clean air and very little
pollution. Early settlement is attributed to the fishing and logging industry.
