Tizzard’s Harbour is located on the northeast part of
New World Island of Notre Dame Bay, Newfoundland.  It’s about one and one half hours drive from the town of gander and the Gander airport.
    Most of the land in Tizzard’s Harbour is rocky with cliffs and hills overlooking salt water. There are some sections of flat land where people grow vegetables. A dense forest surrounds the community supplying the people with firewood.
    One of the unique features which exist in Tizzard’s Harbour is the United Church which is almost one hundred years old. The church is a testimony to the solid work and craftsmanship of the builders.
