The Crazy Day
This story took place last summer on a beautiful Saturday afternoon on the big day of the pet parade. My friend and I decided to hitch my dog, Silver, to my wagon. We decorated the wagon and put a big, red bow on my dog's head.
On the way to the parade, Silver saw a cat. She chased the cat all the way to the parade. Besides knocking over a lemonade stand, she didn't do much damage. We stopped to fix the stand and went on the the parade.
Silver was tired from the running, so she decided to rest. She didn't want to get up, so I gave her a piece of bone that I had in my pocket. That got her going.
It was time to start the parade. It was nice to see all the other animals in costumes and decorations. There were cats, dogs, rabbits, and a lizard at the parade.
Once everyone was in the lineup, the parade was about to begin. Then it happened; a cat accidentally got her ribbon tangled in Silver's ribbon. Oh boy, it was quite a mess. The dogs and cats got all tangled and meowed and barked. You could hear them from a long ways away. A police officer that was there blew his whistle and the animals stopped.
Everyone pitched in and got them straightened out. The parade went on without a hitch. Everyone thought it was very nice. We did too.
