Way to go! Bravo! Encore!...
to the athletes of M.W. Jeans Academy. The students here during March 3-10 held their own Science Olympics. Students were divided into 12 teams and they competed in four categories:
The Paper Plane Contest. The object was to design and construct a plane that would stay in the air the longest and travel the farthest distance.
The Aluminum Foil Boat Each team again was responsible for the design and construction of a floatable device that would hold the most pennies without taking in water.
The Towers of Strength Groups built structures from straws and pipe cleaners for tallest tower that would hold the greatest mass. Images
The Egg Box Students designed a container to protect a raw egg from breaking when dropped from twelve feet. YES!, there were many winning entries!
