W-Book Projects

As part of their social studies program through grades 4-6, the students undertook a study of their own personal histories. Approximately 2 weeks of work went into their study which consisted of research, collections of data, written materials, artifacts, documents, keepsakes, family trees, etc. After compiling the information, students then proceeded to organize it in the form of a W-Book, hence the name. The project concluded with a public presentation of their work which was open to parents. Good use of Language Arts integration was incorporated into this project. The students did a marvellous job. As you can see from the picture, a lot of work went into it from the students.
