Chris was born in Twillingate Hospital on July 12, 1955. He grew up in Moreton's Harbour and received his early education in the local 2 room school. His high school years were spent at Coacker Academy with graduation in 1972. Chris attended Memorial University from 1972-1977 and produced both B.P.E.& ED. degrees. His first year of teaching was at Milltown, Bay D'Espoir, and his second was at English Harbour West. From 1979 to the present he has shared teaching between this school and Moreton's Harbour Elementary. Chris is married with two boys, Zachary and Mark.
