Harry Bartlett was born and raised in Bridgeport, Notre Dame Bay. He received his early education up to Grade Seven in a two room school and from there proceeded to Coaker Academy where he completed high school. Harry attended the post secondary instution of Memorial University where he received his B.A.(Ed.) and from there went on to teach in the following towns and communities: Victoria Cove, Change Islands, Comfort Cove - Newstead. Harry has been teaching for the past eighteen years in Newville and has taught a number of subjects in Grades 3, 4, 5 and 6. Harry is currently teaching Grade 4 Language Arts, Religion, Science, Social Studies and Math as well as Grade 6 Language Arts.
