Our School Flag

Our school flag was designed by a former principal, Mr. Bill Blundon. The circular part symbolizes the earth we live on and that we are a part. The red rings represents that learning is continous just as our motto states. The letters N.C.E. at the center represent the initials of our school name - Norman's Cove Elementary. Our motto just shows that our children here are first priority to us. The book at the top symbolize learning and bears the wording of the Golden Rule and means that we want everyone at our school to be treated the same. The pages of the book represent that our school was built and opened in 1969-1970. The leaves represent plants and when plants are properly cared for and nurtured, they will grow and become mature plants, similar to our children. Inside the white ring also is the name of our school.
