Behavior at School
All students who attend Pasadena Elementary are expected to respect the following:
Student Behavior Code
Pasadena Elementary supports a Hands Off - Hands to Yourself Policy
Expected Behavior
- Allowing others to work without distraction or undue noise.
- Caring for school property and equipment.
- Using language free from profanity.
- Being honest in relations with students and staff.
- Completing all class and homework assignments on time and to the best of your ability.
- Bringing appropriate equipment and materials to class.
- Bringing a note or having a parent telephone the school for each absence.
- Obeying school rules at recess and lunch times.
- Respecting the feelings of others by:
being courteous in word and action to others using appropriate language treating others as equals treating your peers in the same courteous and thoughtful manner in which you expect to be treated.
10. Respecting the property of others by:
not taking the property of others without permission not damaging the property of others not defacing lockers, textbooks, desks, etc. 11. Recognizing and complying with the authority held by your teachers and other school personnel such as secretaries, caretakers and bus drivers.
Unacceptable Behavior
- Disruptive classroom behavior
- Insulting or harassing fellow students
- Theft of school or student property
- Fighting, or in any way, threatening or intimidating others
- Willful destruction of school or personal property
- Bringing potentially dangerous items onto school property
- Any defiance of school authority
- Inappropriate language
- Any other inappropriate or dangerous behavior
Respect is the only acceptable norm of behavior. Students and staff are expected to maintain respect for both themselves and for others as we work together within the school community.
