On February 16th we celebrated the 100th Day of School. ( It was really the 101st, but we were too busy to celebrate it on Friday because we were celebrating Valentine's Day!) Everyone brought in a collection of 100 things. We read a poem that had 100 words and we sang a special 100th Day song. We did lots of counting! We read a book called "100 Hungry Ants". We worked together in groups to show the different ways that the ants could get to their picnic. We made really cool posters, then we acted out the story. It was a lot of fun. In the afternoon, Ms. Wiseman, "The Math Lady", came for a visit. She brought a special 100 Board Game. We played boys against girls. The girls won! We ended off our day by having a special 100th Day "cupcake" cake. We sang "Happy 100th Day to you....". Then we ate all the rest of the snacks that were left over from our Valentine Party. It was an AWESOME DAY!!!
