Meet Buddy - Our New School Mascot

All Staff and Students wish to welcome our new friend at Peacock Primary, a very loveable husky puppy named, Buddy! Buddy is our school mascot and was named by our students through popular vote. His name represents friendship because he is our buddy, our friend. He was designed by Mrs. Michelle Packwood, a Kindergarten teacher at our school this year. Buddy promotes our A.S.K. program, which identifies expected behaviours of students. At Peacock Primary we work to create a positive, safe, cooperative and caring environment.  Buddy has a special message to our students reminding them to ask themselves if what they are doing is appropriate, safe, kind.

Buddy has dug up some bones to share with his new friends that provide them with examples of appropriate, safe, kind behaviours like:  “smile”, “talk it out”, “be nice”, “play safe”, “be kind”, “ say thank you”, and” be respectful”.

Buddy is a welcoming symbol as you enter Peacock Primary. He has provided a link for all students and staff to remember and practice A.S.K. behaviours. All students see Buddy as their friend and are responding well to his messages as we learn and grow together at Peacock Primary.
