A special Thank-you to Dion O'Dell for coming to Peacock to talk about Safety with our students.

Students came up with 10 things that they learned from the Hydro presentation.

1. If you are flying a kite and it hits a power line, you must let go and call Hydro.

2. If you are in a car and a power line is touching the car, then you have to stay in the car until Hydro comes.

3. If something gets stuck in the toaster, you must unplug the toaster before you take it out.

4. If your ball, dog or cat goes in near a transformer, don't go inside call Hydro and they will get it out.

5. Never have electrical things near water.

6. Be careful not to cut down trees near power lines.

7. Never put a pool or a trampoline near a power line.

8. Never put anything near a power line.

9. Electricity always tries to get to ground.

10. Never put anything in an electrical outlet.
