PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Merry Christmas! We have made our selections for the Christmas Concert
and some classes have already begun practising. The children are filled
with excitement as we decorate the school for the holiday season. Again
this year we ask that each child bring along one handmade ornament to place
on our tree. Many thanks to all of you who made donations for the "Christmas
Shoe Boxes", many less fortunate children around the world will be happier
because you have shown the true meaning of Christmas - the spirit of giving.
CHRISTMAS CONCERT
The Christmas Concert will be held on Tuesday, December 21 beginning
at 7:00 p.m., admission is $3.00
Due to the hassles encountered last year regarding advanced ticket sales,
we have decided not to sell tickets in advance this year.
Tickets will only be available at the door on a first come first serve
basis. Doors will not be open to the public until 6:30 to
give everyone equal opportunity for seating.
Children are asked to be at the school by 6:30 and are expected to remain
in their classrooms throughout the entire concert. Children are asked to
bring along some games and a lunch as they will not be permitted to leave
the school to go to J.R.'s.
A free matinee will be held on Tuesday, December 21st at
1:15 p.m. Kindergarten children will attend school in the p.m. on that
day.
DELAYED OPENING
On Wednesday, December 22nd, we will be delaying our opening
by 1 ½ hours with school beginning at 10:30 a.m. Buses will leave
New Melbourne and Heart's Content at 9:45 a.m.
CONCERT BUS
The concert buses are an added expense on the school and have not been
used much in the past couple of years. We are wondering if there is a need
for one. So if you plan on using the concert bus, please let the school
know by Friday, December 17th. If we do not get a response we
will assume no one will be using the bus.
CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS - DEC. 23
On December 23rd at 11:00 a.m. we will be having a Christmas
Sing-a-Long. Santa will also be visiting. Students will be dismissed directly
after the sing-a-long at approximately 12:30 p.m.

KIDS KORNER
Snow Falling
The snow is falling on the ground
And children playing all around
The lights are on the house tonight
And Santa Claus is dressed so bright

Following People Around
One dark night it was stormy,
A person followed us all around,
No matter if we jumped in the air,
Nor we all touched the ground,
Them people said, "don't follow us no more"
or we will have to slam your fingers in that door,
The person stopped following us around,
No matter if we jumped in the air,
Nor we all touched the ground,
That person said, "I won't do that anymore"
Because I don't want my finger stuck in that darn door.

You were there when we were glad
You are always in our hearts
Like the notes on those "Sweet Tarts".
By the check mark on your shoe
You are cute, so we think
And your color is so pink.
We heard that from you
You will find them when you step on them
With your check mark Nike shoe.
So we say
We will miss you every day.
