PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

We are off to a great start! We have several new students this year so our enrolment is up to 180. The children are settling into school routine and getting to know their new teachers. It is wonderful to have such a great group of children who are so enthusiastic about learning.

We had our first assembly to outline expectations for student behaviour as well as review the two most important rules we all must follow: Respect all people including yourself, and respect all property including your own. Following these will certainly help keep us on track.

This year we are also implementing a strategy called "Living Above the Line" that helps children (and adults) to learn how to take responsibility for their actions, attitudes and behaviour. It is a simple technique that children understand easily helping them understand that they are in control and how to make good choices. I'm sure you will be hearing about it.

Ask your child to tell you about "Living Above the Line".
