Friday May 14th we
held our first RECYCLING BLITZ at Riverwood Academy.
Students, parents and the general public dropped off recyclables at
the school all day on the 14th. Our totals for the day was
$319.00 which will be matched by the government for a total of $638.00.
We will be holding another recycling blitz on June 11 - We look
forward to your support again on this day!

The Computer Room will be open daily at 12:30 PM and after school on
certain days for students who want to avail of the CDLI website for
final exam review.

Jump Rope
for Heart a success at Riverwood Academy
Grades 4, 5
and 6 students at Riverwood Academy took part in the Heart and Stroke
Foundation Jump Rope for Heart program on May 13th, 2010, as part of
their Participation Nation Activities. The students raised over $1200
dollars for the Heart and Stroke Foundation and had lots fun and
exercise doing it!!

Ms. Ashley Walsh, Grade 4 teacher, and Ms. Tanya Smith, Prim/Elem
Phys.Ed. teacher, for helping to organize the event.
