6. Genetic vs. Biodiversity 6.  What are the impacts on water resources in Newfoundland as a result of (pick 2) the following a) forestry b) mining           c) hydro-electric development.
7. What is meant by outdoor recreation?  Be sure to include a list of recreation activities that involve using the land.  Include activities that you participate in.  Are these activities consumptive (using the environment) or non-consumptive. 7.  How is municipal water treated? Which method do you feel is better?
8.  What is wilderness? 8.  What are some different ways in which wastewater can be treated?  You can use your text and/or the internet.  No copy and paste.  Please try to write at least a half page.
9. What are you personal views on hunting? 9.  Describe and give you opinions on the 1992 cod moratorium in Newfoundland.  Are the cod stocks recovering?               (About 1 page total - no copy and paste)
10. Why is water important? what can we do to conserve and protect it?  
11. Give the possible journey of a water molecule showing your knowledge of the water cycle while doing so.  
12. Do we really experience extreme weather in Newfoundland and Labrador, when compared to other places in the world?  Explain your opinion.  

Please note that late journal and portfolio entries will be accepted but will not be given the same credit as work that is passed in on time.  Remember though that some credit is better then none.
