My name is Lindsay. I like oat scones!

Scottish Oat Scones

2/3 cup butter or margarine, melted
1/3 cup milk
1 egg
1 + 3/4 cups uncooked Quaker oats
1 + 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup raisins or currants

Add butter, milk, and egg to combined oats, flour, sugar, baking powder and salt; mix well. Stir in raisins. Pat mixture out on lightly floured surface to form 12 X 9 inch rectangle. Cut dough into a 4 X 3 inch rectangles; cut each rectangle in half to form triangles. Place on greased cookie sheet. Bake in preheated hot oven (425 degrees F) about 12 minutes. Serve warm with butter and jelly if desired.  Makes 24 scones. These oat scones can also be cut out with your child's favourite cookie cutters.
