Curriculum Forums will take place at our school on
Tuesday, September 13th and Tuesday, September 20th . The schedule is as
follows:
Tuesday, September 13th – Grades K – 3
Tuesday, September 20 Grades 4 – 7
Grades K – 1 6:30 pm – Child’s Classroom
Grades 4 – 5 6:30 pm – Child’s Classroom
7:00 pm – Gymnasium
7:00 pm – Gymnasium
Grades 2 – 3 7:00 pm – Gymnasium
Grades 6 – 7 7:00 pm – Gymnasium
7:15 pm – Child’s Classroom

Professional Development Closeout
On Thursday, September 15th staff of Sacred
Heart Academy will be involved in Professional Development Training. This
Professional Development activity focuses on the implementation of strategies
outlined in our School Development Plan. Specifically, the day will provide
opportunities for teachers to collaborate in the area of academic instructional
strategies in the classroom and will allow teachers to collaborate and plan for
the use of instructional resource teachers in the classroom. When students
return to class on Friday, September 16th, it will be Day 8 on the schedule.
Burin Region Professional Development Closeout
On Thursday, September 22nd staff of Sacred Heart
Academy, along with all of schools in the Burin Region will participate in the
annual Burin Region Professional Development Closeout. This year’s conference
will be hosted by Marystown Central High School and Sacred Heart Academy. During
this day professional and support staff will participate in sessions related to
their various teaching assignments and roles. When we return to class on Friday,
September 23rd, it will be Day 5 on the schedule.
