The Orthodox Church

There are three types of clergy, Bishops, priests and Deacons the consecration of a bishop requires the prisons of several other bishops. This testifies to the continuity of the whole church in the present and to its heritage from the time of the Apostles. Besides bishops there are two other types of clergy the priests and the deacons, These may be married men, though bishops are always chosen from among unarmed or widowed clergy.
Some beliefs are based on consistency with the bible and tradition as expressed in ancient councils that took pals between 325 and 787. The churches also except the decrees of some later councils as reflecting the same faith.
Three are some forms of worship called liturages, the two chief eucharastic liturgies in the Orthodox churches are those of St. John chyrsostom and of St. Basil the great. Both acquired their peasant in the 19th century.
The Orthodox churches follow the traditional church year beginning with advent four sundays before christmas. The greatesfestival is Easter. The date of Easter it usually varies from its celebration in the west because the eastern churches still use the Julian calendar to compute the date.
The Hag Sofia or holy wisdom was a house of worship and os sits the great of the world, the house of worship was bit during the reign of emperor Justinian the first in the 6th century at the constantinople.
Hew bible and the most holy tradition is the most important sources of the Eastern Orthodox teachings, the church services are based on the reading of the bible especially the psalm. Also hymns and prayers that reflect the bible teachings.
This project was done on the eastern orthodox and it was a good project to do because we got to learn a lot about the religion and what types of clergy there are in the  religion.
