Kit Pearson was born in Edmonton Alberta in 1947, April 30th. She later moved to places such as Vancouver, British Columbia. Kit used to work as a librarian but then later took up writing. With her writing she won such awards as the Mr. Cristy Book Award and the Canadian Library Association Book Award for young people. The books she wrote are The Daring Game, A Handful of Time, The Sky is Falling, Looking at the Moon, The lights Go On Again, Awake and Dreaming. Her most present book was wrote in 1998 and she called it 'This Land.
She acquired a degree in English. She
has two pet terriers. She attend the Crofton House School for girls in
Vancouver, after which she went to university to complete her Bachelor
of Arts degree. Kit was never married. She was inspired to write books
when she read Emily of New Moon.
All of her books were published by Puffin Books and they
are available in stores and the Internet.
