Laundry again.... but those dreaded stains!
How do you get them out???

Here's a quick and easy guide to stain removal. Try each one. Hope it helps!!!
 

Antiperspirant and deodorant
*  Sponge dry fabric stains thoroughly with a laundry pre-soak ( spot stain remover and warm water). Rinse. If stain remains, use chlorinated laundry bleach or a diaper wash containing sodium per carbonate.
* Use ammonia on fresh stains and vinegar on old stains.
* Spray thoroughly with a laundry presoak then rinse in warm water. Wash as per normal.
Blood

* If blood spot is fresh, use the person's own saliva to cover the spot then rinse in warm water. Wash garment as usual.
* If blood stain is fresh, sponge with cool salted water( 1 tsp. per 600 ml water) then rinse well with clear water. If stain remains, soak in a diaper wash containing sodium per carbonated.
* Rinse in cold water, presoak  with detergent then wash as normal.
* Soak in water with a product containing enzymes.
* Soak stain in a paste of meat tenderizer and cold water then wash.

Collar Stains

* Put Coca-Cola in the washing machine when washing the soiled item.
* Treat with cold water first, sponge with a quality laundry solution. Rinse well.
if stain remains, try equal amounts of methylated products( wood alcohol) and ammonia.
* Soak in vinegar then wash as normal.
* Rub with white chalk( chalk absorbs the oil in the fabric) then wash as usual. repeat if necessary.

Grass

* Sponge stain with wood alcohol and warm water. Wash  as normal.
* Soak in solution of chlorinated laundry bleach or sponge with wood alcohol. Rinse in warm water and wash garment as normal.
* Apply stain remover and rub gently into stain. Let it sit for 5 minutes then wash with detergent in the hottest water safe for the fabric.

Grease

* Scrape away as much grease of the fabric. For washable materials, rub vaseline into the stain then using a pre-soak treatment, wash as normal.
* Apply stain remover and rub gently into stain. Put garment in a bleach wash using the hottest water possible.
* Rub fabric with a mild abrasive and dish detergent. Rinse and wash has usual.
* If light stain, pre treat with a pre wash stain removal product or liquid laundry detergent. Rinse with hot water.
* Use a dish liquid on stain, rub gently then soak for 2 hours. Wash as usual.

Gum

* Scrape away as much as possible. Put garment into the freezer then after gum hardens,  pick of the parts of gum. Residual stains can be treated with spot stain remover.
* Remove as much gum particles as possible. Rub stain with ice. As it hardens, remove gum.

Lipstick

* Normal wash MAY remove these stains.
* For tough stains, pre treat laundry stain with a laundry presoak. On unusual fabrics, dry clean.
* Place stain face down on paper towels. Sponge the back of the stain with a dry cleaning solvent and move fabric to clean area of towels frequently. Rinse.

Perspiration

*If new stains, the stain is usually acids and can be removed by normal washing of garment. if dye is effected, hold stain in fumes of an open ammonia bottle.
* If an old stain, stain turns alkaline and sponge with 1 tbsp. vinegar in 1 cup water to restore the color and to get rid on perspiration odors.

Tomato Sauce

* Sponge stain immediately with cold water. Put pre-soak stain remover on stain for a minimum of 30 minutes. Wash as normal.
* Sponge with cold water. Pour glycerin over stain, rub lightly and leave on for 30 minutes. Use a laundry presoak leaving it for 1 hour. Wash as usual.
* Soak in 1 quart of cool water, 1 tsp. dish washing detergent and a tbsp. vinegar for 15 minutes. Rinse and wash as normal.
* Pre treat stain with club soda of 7up to loosen tomato stain then wash in warm water.
