Otter
There head is broad and flat,with short,round ears.The body can attain a length of 75 cm with a tail half as long as the body.The fur is mainly chestnut color,the legs are short but very strong, and the paws are webbed with sharp claws.

Otters eat crayfish, crabs and fish.They also feed on small mammals such as birds and frogs.
Otters are very alert of predators such as human hunters.The otters mainly hunt in family groups.They are very sly, they mainly hunt in the night time.
Otters are very playful. They wrestle and romp and slide down steep muddy slopes in summer and down icy river banks in in winter.Otters communicate  with a variety of sounds. All species have a warning growl. In addition , otters use various  kinds of chirps, chuckles, screams, and squeals to express their feelings to other otters.
Most otters make their homes in burrows in riverbanks or under rocky ledges, or in abandoned dens of other animals. The baby otters called cubs or pups, are born blind. The young do not swim until they are several months old. People hunt otters for their valuable and beautiful fur. Certain species, especially the giant otter, are in danger of becoming extinct.
Otters belong to the weasel family, Mustelidae. The North American otter is Lutra Canadians. The giant otter is pteronura brasiliensis. The claw less and small clawed otters form genus Aonyx.
