Beavers !!!
The Beaver is a mammal
noted for building dames. One species of beaver occurs in North America.
The other beaver is found in Eurasia. The beaver is about 76 cm long to
and 30 cm high.The beavers tail is a broad, flat and scaly. The tail is
about 25 cm long a it is used as a warning signal when it's slapped against
the water, as a support when the beaver is standingon its hind legs and
a paddle when it's swimming. The beavers body is plump, the back is arched
, a thick neck,webbed feet . The beavers fur is reddish-brown above and
lighter below. It also has small eyes. The beavers has two large front
teeth they are so sharpe that the beaver can cut down trees with them,
for dames, ect.
The dames are the beavers home.
They make it from trees, sticks, mud bushwood and stones. As time goes
by the beaver repairs and adds to the dam
The dames are about 1.5m high,
about 3 m at the base and narrow at the base.
The largest ever is more than 300m
long.(Found in Colorado) Beaver ponds attract fish, ducks, and other aquatic
animals. Some dames may cause some floods
