Mountain Juniper
Junipers scopulorum.(mountain juniper)
A shubby tree with a wide, irregularly rounded crown
and a knotty, twisted trunk reaching 13 metres in height.The Juniper is most widley distrubuted conifer in eastern
North America. It's wood contains an oil that defers moths and
is often used in wood chests and in closets. The mountain juniper
unlike most junipers it produces needlelike leaves. This takes away
from the value of its wood in the market.These trees are very hardy in that they can grow almost every
where. They're used for borders for gardens and are grown for Xmas.
Trees through out North America.There are over 50 species of juniper located all over the world.
