COBRAS

COBRA,pronounced KOH bruh, is one of a group of poisonous '' hooded'' snakes. Cobras are very active, when they are excited they flatten the neck by moving their ribs. that movement makes the appearance of a hood. most snake's neck have ribs that are shorter than the ribs farther down their back. But in cobras with large hoods the neck ribs are longest. the ribs are straight rather than curved, like the body.

                                      VENOM

Cobras use their venom in 2 ways: some types use their fangs on the upper jaw to inject the poison into their prey, and other types squirt venom into the victim's eyes, blinding it the venom can only hurt humans if the cobra squirts venom in their eyes(venom causes blindness if not washed out immediatly, the least it can do is      cause severe irritation). The bite of a cobra can cause death within a few hours.

                                                            DIET
Cobras eat many kinds of animals such as frogs, fish, birds, they also eat small mamals. The mongoose is a dangerous enemy of the cobra. When this animal attacks it usually kills snakes.
