Tundra Habitat

Tundra is a cold, wet habitat mainly found in the northern hemisphere between the Arctic and the coniferous forests of Canada, Europe, and Asia. There the ground is permanently frozen. Only the surface soil thaws out during the short summer months. The cold, windy conditions form a harsh environment for plants and animals.
