Academically
- Mid - terms results were good. High school students, with the help of parents, still need to balance study and social life a bit more.
- On-line high school courses were tried for the first time this year but proved unsuccessful. Using the work from the courses we know that our students can do the work; they do not have the confidence to work independently. This option is still open to any student upon request.
- Teachers from all levels attended a number of in-service on all areas of the curriculum this term.
- Audrey Benoit has been designated Student Support this year. She is working with Ed. Psy. Heather Conran-Paul getting most of the needed student assessments complete and teaching strategies in place.

Culturally
- Much use was made of community resource persons in terms of health, safety and crafts persons, as well as for a number of cultural presentations.
- The co-ordinator of MK Language and Culture has done a lot of liaison work with the province who is including a lot of First Nations information in their new Social Studies.

Socially
- Atiko “ The Talking Room” has been restarted and peer counselling and volunteers have begun again.
- A new web page has been set up. Important events, assignments and homework is now posted here.
www.setanewey.ca
- The school’s new web page also contains links to post- secondary institutions, policies and handbooks.
- Each school hosted a open house night in October and mid-term progress report meetings.
- A meeting was held with grade 12 students and parents. One is planned for each term and these are to become regular events.

Physically
- The school now has high speed internet and video conferencing capabilities.
- Vandalism experienced over the summer appears to have stopped; surveillance cameras have been installed. These cameras were successful in identifying the last lot of vandalism done by a non band member youth and that person was charged.
- We have reason to be proud of the majority of our students who were as disgusted at the vandalism as any community member. We understand the peer pressure put on them but all students must realize that they cannot let bullies control them.
- All glass and handicap railing have been repaired.
