Spider Monkey

My favorite zoo animal is a Spider Monkey.  They live between Brazil and Central Mexico.  The Spider Monkey lives in tree's.  It hangs from tree's by its tail. He eats fruits supplemented with nuts, seeds, leaves, insects, and eggs.  The Spider Monkey lives in groups.

The Spider Monkey weighs 13 to 25 pounds, it's head and body is 19" to 20", it's tail is 27" to 30" and it's life span is 30 to 40 years.

The Spider Monkey gives birth to one baby.  The baby is dependent on their mom for the first two or three years of their life.  Females give birth every three to four years.

By the fourth or fifth month they start consuming solid foods. In most cases males are more dominant and aggressive than females.
