Summary
- I would rate this book a 4. If you like books where good does not conquer
the bad but the bad gets away. In this book lot of evil things happen.
Like Klaus gets slapped and is forced to sleep in the same room as his
sisters. He makes violet marry him. And he hangs sunny from a 30 foot
tower. Count Olaf is the villan in this book and whenever they find out
who he is he always escapes. If you like misery and lots of bad things
this book is highly recommended.
S U S P E N S E
- This book is almost all about suspense. Like when Klaus insults Count
Olaf there is a long pause you think Count Olaf will take out a gun and
kill him. Also when Violet has to marry Count Olaf she pauses. Which makes
the people guess if she
will say yes or no. I would rate suspense a 5. ![]()

CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
- At the beginning the first few pages it tells about their first name,
their last name, if they are the youngest, the middle or the oldest child.
It tells their age and what they like to do. That way they tell you
what kind of person they are. There were no changes in the story
but cuts and bruises they got from Count Olaf hitting them all the time.
I would rate this a 3. ![]()

I M P O R T A N
T L E S S O N S - There was almost no lessons in this
book. Except for do not stay with any man named Count Olaf or someone with
a eye tattoo on his left ankle. If you are looking for morals and happy
endings do not go near these books. These books have no lessons or morals.
I would rate this a 1.
I M A G I N A T
I O N - This book has hardly any pictures for the reader. But the
characters were very creative. Violet built a spider out of broken blinds.
The children in this story are not only smart but they are clever too.
I would rate this a 3. ![]()

D I F F I C U L
T Y - There was a great part about this book. Mostly every word that was
hard Klaus would say it’s meaning. This book has more definition
then any other book I’ve ever read. Like the word aberration you would
have to ask someone what it means
but Klaus would say what it meant. I would rate this a 3. ![]()

Lemony Snicket
is a man his family was a very big one but they all died his families
roots came from a city that is now under water. He was born in Snicketvilla.
It was a small and suspicious town that’s how he got the idea of starting
the series of unfortunate events. He loved somebody named Beatrice who
he writes a poem for at the beginning of every book he also always says
“for Beatrice” and then the poem at the front few pages of the book. One
of his most asked questions are who’s Beatrice all he ever says is don’t
say that name to much misery comes to my heart. I think someday he will
let the world know who Beatrice is. I think it was a good Idea starting
the series of unfortunate events the series.
