Poetry
Here is a sample of the poems and chants used during the health and safety theme.
Thank you Lord for giving me
A body trim and fit
Help me every day I live
To take good care of it.
One Red Spot
My fever was high.
I felt so hot.
And on my nose
Was one red spot.
My spot grew bigger.
My face turned blue.
I asked the doctor,
"What shall I do?"
The doctor said,
"Here’s a purple pill.
Take it in the morning
so you won’t get ill."
I took that pill
And I washed it down
With a choke and a squirm
And I made a frown.
The spot went away
To my great delight
So I told everybody,
"I’m all right!"

My Wobbly Tooth
I bit my apple
And what do you think?
My wobbly tooth
Came out in a wink.
If I put it under my pillow tonight,
Will the tooth fairy come
When I turn out the light?

Johnny, Get Your Hair Cut
Johnny, get your air cut
Hair cut, hair cut
Johnny, get your hair cut
Just like me.
Red Light
Red light, red light
What do you say?
I say, "Stop" and stop right away.
Yellow light, yellow light
What do you mean?
I mean "Wait" until the light turns green.
Green light, green light
What do you say?
I say "Go" but first look both ways.
Thank you, thank you
Red, yellow, green.
Now I know what traffic lights mean.
