About Our School

Woodland Primary is located in the town of Grand Falls-Windsor. The school is for Kindergarten to Grade 3 students and is under the District #3 School Board.

The History Of Our School

Woodland Primary, formerly known as Grand Falls Academy Primary School, was officially

opened April 25, 1975, under the principalship of Mr. Mervin Baker. Today, Woodland Primary School

houses approximately 400 children from both the south and north sides of the town.

French Immersion has been a program offered by this school since 1985. Woodland Primary continues to

maintain excellence in its academic achievements and build strong partnerships with the school community.
