| Newfoundland Styro Incorporated Newfoundland Styro Incorporated is not located in Grand Falls-Windsor but my teacher let me write about it because my pop works there. Anyway, she said that Bishop's Falls may become a part of Grand Falls-Windsor one of these days, and it might be called Exploits City. That would be great. Newfoundland Styro Incorporated is located in the industrial section of Bishop's Falls at 12 Dominic Street. It is affiliated with Tru Foam in Nova Scotia. The company first started production in 1995. At that time the company was only supplying various sizes of fish boxes for the local fish plants in and around Newfoundland. They are still producing fish boxes, but they are also producing insulation. This insulation is for construction purposes, both residential and commercial. The company employs fourteen employees consisting of office sales, and plant personnel. Newfoundland Styro is currently in its eighth year of production. Since the fall of 1995, they were the fastest rising company in Newfoundland and Labrador. They have achieved awards from the Newfoundland Chamber of Commerce. The process consists of EPS ( Extended Polystyrene Beads), steaming the bead in its raw material form under controlled conditions. The bead is injected into a shape mould of the product that is required, for example boxes, covers, or foundation blocks. My grandfather is a proud employee of Newfoundland Styro Incorporated.
