Canada Post is owned and operated by the Canada Post Corporation. The head office is in Ottawa, Ontario. The post office in Grand Falls-Windsor is managed by Ms. Heather Howse, and it has 26 employees, including my dad. It is open Monday to Friday and it is closed on weekends. The mail is delivered five days a week around our town by mail carriers.
When my class visited the post office, we posted our letters to Santa Claus. We watched as my dad put the letters through a machine to put the date and the name of the post office on them. Also, we posted our box of Purity products to our pen pals in Halifax, Nova Scotia. We saw how the parcels are sorted in bins, and then loaded aboard the transport trucks to be taken to their destinations.
