The YMCA Children's Learning Centre opened in 2001. It is located on Price's Avenue in Grand Falls- Windsor. Thirteen people work there, including my mom, and they are called Early Childhood Educators. The educators focus on the fact that children learn through play.
In the centre there are four separate rooms for the different programs and ages of the children. Programs are for half or full days and the centre is licensed for children from ages two to twelve years old. In each room there are many different areas such as -Art, Science, Math, Story, Music, etc. that give the children the chance to learn.
The educators and the centre give the children a large variety of play and learning experiences, as well as time to interact with other children. My little sister, MacKenzie loves going there, and my mom enjoys working there.
