Scotia Recycling
Scotia Recycling is located on 32 Hardy Avenue in Grand Falls-Windsor. This business was formerly called Nova Recycling Ltd. The manager is Mr. Lloyd Flight. Scotia Recycling is a place for people to drop off their pop bottles, cans, cardboard and newspapers for recycling.
Mr. Flight showed our class all around the warehouse and explained the importance of recycling. He said that a lot of people are recycling but there are many more that are not. He showed us what happens to the pop cans and plastic bottles after they are dropped off at the warehouse. He also
told us that they make clothing out of recycled plastic bottles! We also looked at a plastic pop bottle when it was the size of a test tube, before it was sized and drink was put inside.
Mr. Flight told us many interesting things that happen at a recycling depot. He asked us to try and get everyone we know to recycle because it is very important for the future of our environment.
