Oram’s Farm

Richard Oram is the owner of
Oram’s Farm located in Wooddale.  It is a family run business. The Oram family all pitch in to make sure things run smoothly around the farm.  Sometimes they may have to hire one extra person to help out when it is busy.  It was the very first farm in the community of Wooddale.  The farm has been around for 20 years.
The greenhouse is open from April until November.  At the farm they grow pumpkins, broccoli, potatoes, cabbage, carrots, lettuce, zucchini and turnips.  The Orams have a little market off their house.  They sell all their products from the farm at their market.  The market is open to the public and all are welcome.
I have been visiting the farm every fall since kindergarten.  They have given me several things to bring home.  I like the pumpkins the best.  They have little ones and great big ones.  My class really liked visiting the farm.  I got to sit on one of the bales of hay.  They looked like giant marshmallows.  We had our pictures taken with them and the big pumpkins.
So when you are out for a drive, drop in to see Mr. Oram at his farm.  You are sure to find something you like.  Best of all, everything is good for you.
