Pampered Paws

Pampered Paws is a pet resort and doggie daycare.  It can be found at 264 Grenfell Heights.  It is the first hotel for dogs in central Newfoundland and it opened for business in the spring of 2007.  It is owned and operated by Sue Folkes.  Pampered Paws is the perfect resort for anyone who wants to go on vacation and not have to worry about their most loved dog.  Pampered Paws is also the spot for anyone who is working and would like to place their dog in daycare to ensure they are not home alone.
Pet owners can leave their dogs and not have to be concerned about them, as they will be in the best of care.  They get ROYAL treatment at Pampered Paws.  All one has to do is look at the time and work that has gone into this hotel to know that your dog will be pampered when they are away from home.  The details that have gone into the hotel are unbelievable.  There is a huge playroom with a television and beds for lounging.  There are ten rooms on Barking Boulevard.  Each room has a steel door with window and screen, and a doggie door that leads to individual fenced runs.  Each room is decorated with a different theme and has a mini television.  The themes include: Fur-ida, Canine Cruise, Canine Cabin and Pooch Palace which offers King and Queen Suites.  At the back of the building is a huge fenced in playground that offers interaction for the dogs.  Sue and Rob Folkes offer a home away from home for your dog and they will treat him or her like part of their family.
One day after school Sue and Rob Folkes took five of my classmates, our Flat Pen Pals from Tany’s Dell School in Harlow, England and myself on a tour of Pampered Paws.  Their dog, Bandit, accompanied us on our tour.  Were we ever surprised by the beautiful rooms and play areas available to the dogs!  The Fur-ida room is decorated with a mural of the sandy beaches of Florida and it has a cushioned pet swing and a ceiling fan to cool the dog off.  In the Canine Cruise room I liked the boat-shaped bed for your dog.  The girls liked the deluxe King and Queen suite because they had chandeliers and a faux fur chaise for the queen.  Other future theme rooms include Dogs, Vegas, and a Sports Bark.  All hotels that kids stay in with their parents should be decorated as nice!  To have the life of a dog!  My flat pen pal, Flat Byron Down, loved his visit to Pampered Paws.  For more information on Pampered Paws you can call 486-7387 or email: pampered-pawsgfw@nl.rogers.com.

P.S. Make sure your dog has his up-to-date vaccinations, including the Bordetella vaccine.
