The S’paw
The S’paw is owned and operated by Kerri Stuckless. She is certified in pet grooming and she has ten years of experience. The S’paw is located on 5 Mill Road in Grand Falls-Windsor. There are people on staff who groom all pet breeds. However, Kerri is the only one who cuts the cats’ nails and the mats out of their fur. The S’paw’s clients can have a bath and a blow dry but they never wash cats, because cats don’t like to be wet. They can also have their nails cut, or their fur combed, trimmed or shaved.
One day after school three of my friends and I visited The S’paw with our teacher and my mom. My mom, Faye Lewis, has helped Ms. Warr with all the Woodland Connections V projects this year. It was great because I got to visit every place. We also took our Flat Pen Pals from Tany’s Dell School in Harlow, England with us. We got to meet Fergie. She was a client that was having a bath and blow dry. She is a King Charles Cocker Spaniel. We met Simba, another client, who was being groomed. He was very well behaved and seemed to enjoy the pampering. We also met a Shih Tzu called Scamp who was just starting to be groomed for the puppy cut as we were leaving. I have a Shih Tzu dog, too. Her name is Princess Beautiful Flower and she has a show cut. I take her to The S’paw once a month for grooming, cutting and shaping. They always do a good job but Princess doesn’t like to be groomed. So I think they have to work hard with her. Our visit to The S’paw was lots of fun. My flat pen pal from England, Flat Hollie Stimpson, really enjoyed the trip.
